Roofing in Sharpes, FL

Sharpes is the unincorporated community on US-1 just north of the Cocoa city line, about 3,100 people on the river side and the west side of the highway. It is named for William H. Sharpe, a county commissioner in the 1870s, and it is one of the older settlements on this stretch of the Indian River. The housing runs from 1950s frame and block homes on the river streets to 1970s and 1980s block ranches on the grid west of US-1, with mobile home parks in between.

Roofs here are mostly shingle at the age where carriers ask questions. The riverfront streets take open-water wind, and Frances and Jeanne in 2004, Matthew in 2016, and Milton in 2024 each left tarps on this stretch. Sharpes is county territory for permits.

This site connects Sharpes homeowners with an independent local roofing contractor by phone. It does not perform the work.

Sharpes roofing, by the kind of house

A 1970s block ranch with a stain under a valley is a roof repair. A shingle roof from the 1990s with an insurer letter is a roof inspection first, then a decision. A roof that lost tabs on every east slope in the last storm is on the storm damage page, and the insurance claims page covers what the adjuster will want.
